Although the privacy, security, and integrity of health information have not been subjected to major requirements for improvement in 2008 and 2009 Joint Commission surveys, they remain a focus of patient tracers, and HIM directors should not be dismissive.
This month’s column will provide an overview of IM.02.01.01 and IM.02.01.03, as well as compliance tips.
