Risk assessments can seem like a practice out of the stone age—outdated, drab, monotonous, and, on the surface, somewhat unimportant. But don’t be shortsighted, experts say. Risk assessment is an important and necessary task for every organization. It can mean the difference between staying in business and thriving in your community or having your hospital’s good name dragged through the mud.
