The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) is accepting applications for its advanced technology work groups through April 20. (Click here if you’d like to apply.)
CCHIT announced March 23 that it will accelerate the development of advanced technology certification programs that include clinical decision support, interoperability, and quality and security to ensure that they are completed during the 2009–2010 development cycle. The organization had originally slated development to be completed by 2011; however, it announced that it would expedite the process in light of the ARRA. For more information, see the press release on the advanced technology certifications program.
