  • National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (statutory advisory group to HHS which will provide an analysis of the transaction extension and develop further recommendations for standards): http://www.ncvhs.hhs.gov
  • Washington Publishing Company (publishes X12N implementation guides): http://www.wpc-edi.com
  • Health Level Seven (HL7) (standards group that creates protocols for interfacing hospital information systems, including the content of the forthcoming claims attachment standards): http://www.hl7.org
  • Designated Standards Maintenance Organizations (maintains standards, such as X12N, HL7, DICOM): http://www.hipaa-dsmo.org
