Tip: Make HIPAA training fun

Mandatory HIPAA training usually generates the same excitement as a trip to the dentist. Sure, you have to do it, but you don’t have to like it.
Diane Adams, director of training and education at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in
Her team of four trainers and additional administration staff members thought getting behind (and in front) of the camera to infuse humor into an otherwise dry training video would net positive results.
The homegrown solution was a success that helped staff retain information, saved money, and resulted in real organizational involvement.
