ONC releases final report on medical identity theft

On January 15, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology released a final report on medical identity theft. The 28-page report summarizes health IT and medical identity theft issues and suggests possible actions for the federal government to take to prevent, detect, and remediate medical identity theft. It includes resources for victims and organizations as well as information related to business processes, technology, policies, and law. Click here to view the report.
