NH hospital package missing, contains patient information

A package bound for a New Hampshire hospital and containing medical information about 1,500 patients never arrived and is now missing, the Associated Press reported December 26.

Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH, had used a central processing system that never failed. However, the hospital now is searching for a package that contains patient names, dates of service, and diagnosis code numbers for different diagnoses or medical procedures.
