As more hospitals implement a hybrid record as they transition to a complete EHR, the once fairly straightforward process of producing documents during discovery becomes more complex. Instead of going to one source (i.e., the paper record) to find relevant information, directors must orchestrate a hospitalwide effort to access data—much of which is electronic and stored in various formats and media.
