Use AHA sample policy to jump start compliance with red flag rules

On October 24 the American Hospital Association (AHA) published a sample policy hospitals can use as a guide to draft their own policies to address red flags that signal medical identity theft. Although the Federal Trade Commission delayed the compliance deadline to May 1, hospitals should make a good faith effort to comply by November 1, according to AHA News Now.
