CMS released the display copy of the OPPS proposed rule for fiscal year 2009 on July 3, about three to four weeks earlier than in previous years. It was officially published in the July 18 Federal Register.
Like others, I was caught off guard with the early release of the rule, but after reviewing it, I don’t think there are major surprises.
