Reviewing what did and did not go smoothly during an EHR implementation may seem like putting salt on old wounds, but it can be an effective means of learning from mistakes for future implementations. A good vendor will want to do this with the client and potentially do it after every shift or at the end of every day during the first few days of a go-live. When done constructively, it can be very effective in capturing ideas that will make the next implementation easier and less stressful.
