On June 18, CMS issued MLN Matters article SE0821, a reminder that Medicare pays for diabetes screening tests. The article states that to ensure proper reimbursement for these screening tests, the provider must use correct procedure and diagnosis codes and the proper modifier (when appropriate) when filing claims.
