Organize your approach to get repairs right
Be aware of all your options when coding integumentary procedures so that you arrive at the most specific code that best represents the procedure the physician performs.
Before you select the correct CPT code for an integumentary procedure, you must first dispel the assumption that an integumentary code is the only solution, Garrison said. Another code in a different section of the CPT Manual might be closer to the description.
