Six Alzheimer's patients are victims in alleged identity theft scheme

Six Alzheimer’s patients at Brookside Assisted Living in Buford, GA, are victims of identity theft, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported August 19.
Investigators identified Iniabel Ferrer and Jose Luis Ciuro, as suspects in the alleged theft of personal and medical information pertaining to the six patients, according to the article.
Authorities arrested Ferrer August 13 and charged her with six counts of felony exploitation of a disabled adult and six counts of felony financial identify theft fraud, the newspaper reported. Ciuro remains at large.
