A: For more information regarding the CMS pilot program in which Medicare beneficiaries in Arizona and Utah can maintain their health records electronically, view the August 8 CMS press release announcing the program. Under the program, a beneficiary may choose one of the selected commercial PHR tools, and Medicare will transfer up to two years of the individual's claims data into the individual's PHR. The program will begin in January 2009.
