Lawanda Jackson,  a former administrative specialist for UCLA Medical Center, has been charged with accessing and selling the medical records of celebrities treated at the medical center and selling them to the media, according to the April 29 Department of Justice Release No. 08-049.

Jackson allegedly illegally obtained individually identifiable health information for commercial advantage—a felony count for which carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, according to the release. She reportedly received at least $4,600 for the patient information.

Jackson worked for UCLA from 2006 until her termination May 21, 2007. She was indicted under seal April 9, and is expected to be arraigned June 9 in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.
