Adam Hansen, MD, chief resident of general surgery at the Mayo Clinic Hospital is out of a job after taking a photograph of a patient's tattooed genitals with his cell phone, according to an article by the Associated Press (AP), published on FOXNews.com on December 21. According to the Mayo Clinic Hospital Web site, CEO Denis Cortese states that Hansen "is no longer practicing medicine at Mayo Clinic," though the hospital has not released information about whether Hansen resigned or was fired, according to the article.

Hansen took the photograph of strip club owner Sean Dubowik's tattooed genitals--Dubowik's tattoo reads "Hot Rod"--during a December 11 gall bladder surgery, according to the AP.
