Mastering OASIS skills proves challenging
Homecare Insider, August 29, 2016
Fazzi Associates, a Northampton, MA-based home health and hospice consulting firm has found that home health managers’ OASIS competencies are at about 74%. Fazzi’s OASIS testing project measured the OASIS competencies of agency staff around the country through a survey of 57 questions covering varying areas of OASIS, but that did include questions on items that affect star ratings and value-based purchasing.
The challenge to adequately train for OASIS is real. HCPro is offering a live webinar, Prepare Your Home Health Agency for OASIS-C2, on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Melinda A. Gaboury, COS-C, will guide participants through the update and review the changes and constant challenges OASIS presents at your agency. The live program offers 1.5 ANCC nursing contact hours.
