In focus | NAHC submits comments on face-to-face clinical templates

Last Tuesday, NAHC submitted official comments to CMS on a pair of proposed clinical templates (one for paper-based documentation systems and one for electronic varieties) with standardized progress note language and prompts intended to help physicians produce sufficient certification documentation for home health. The templates, on which CMS solicited comments from the public between August 12 and October 13, are one of CMS’ latest efforts to alleviate the provider burdens and uncertainties associated with current face-to-face encounter documentation requirements.
