Massachusetts' Board of Registration in Medicine recently took action against three physicians for delinquent behavior.
Dr. Thomas Ho's license was retroactively revoked for falling asleep during a surgical procedure when he was the only anesthesiologist in the room and for inhaling anesthetic gas once during a lunch break, the board found. Pediatrician Dr. Joseph Fahey's license was indefinitely suspended after Fahey admitted during a board investigation that he had used cocaine and marijuana. Dr. Camilla Parham, a family practitioner, had her license indefinitely suspended by the board for inappropriate behavior with a patient at a party, though the suspension was stayed after Parham agreed to enter into a probation agreement.
Prior to the suspensions, the physicians were licensed and privileged to work at their individual healthcare facilities.
