Eliminate excess credentialing by keeping the following myths out of your office.

  • All AHPs must have privileges
  • The medical staff must review the qualifications of AHPs individually
  • The board must approve all AHPs individually
  • All AHPs must be accommodated
  • The medical staff office must process all AHPs
  • Because the state permits independent practice, the hospital must permit it as well

This week's tip is from A Guide to AHP Credentialing, by Beverly E. Pybus, CPMSM, and Carol S. Cairns, CPMSM, CPCS. For more information, click here.
