There are a number of red flags to watch for when it comes to credentialing a new member of your medical staff, including
- Time gaps in clinical practice history
- Time gaps in malpractice history
- Rapid shifts in positions
- Failure to obtain references
- Reluctance on the part of references to respond to contacts
