The American Medical Association (AMA) and AARP have teamed up to guide for improving the doctor-patient relationship.
The guide, "The Patient-Physician Relationship: A partnership for better healthcare and safer outcomes" will be available through both organizations' respective Web sites free of charge.
The pamphlet will outline three core areas where physicians and patients can work together: communication, shared decision-making, and the patient-physician partnership.
