The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has released a set of ambulatory care quality measures for assessing clinical-level physician quality for public comment. The measures are meant to allow health plans to report physician performance to the network, according to an NCQA official release.

The measures provide technical specifications as well as implementation methods and contain six prevention measures, including breast cancer screening, influenza vaccination, depression and asthma measures.

Draft measures are available at www.ncqa.org. To view the NCQA official announcement, visit http://www.ncqa.org/communications/news/hedis_md.htm.
