According to the American Hospital Association (AHA), only eight in 10 workers eligible for health insurance are employed, down from 87% in 1996, a report from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Reports stated.
A large company is defined in this study as employing more than 50 workers. Approximately 97% of these employees were offered coverage by their employer in 2004.
For more information visit the AHA official Web site. The results of the AHRQ report can be found here.
