South Carolina revokes Shortt medical license

The South Carolina state medical licensing board has revoked the license of a physician accused of illegally prescribing steroids to NFL players.

 

James Shortt has been accused of prescribing anabolic steroids and human growth hormone to professional football players and other athletes, as well as law enforcement agents.

 

The medical board temporarily suspended Shortt a year ago following two patient deaths. Previously, the Wisconsin state medical board revoked the physician's license in that state based on
