Alliance hopes to retain boomer workforce

A new collaboration is seeking to recruit and retain baby boomer workers over the age of 50. The group, led by the AARP, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the American Petroleum Institute, and including healthcare organizations like the American Medical Association (AMA), hopes to develop strategies for holding onto experienced workers of the baby boom generation in the face of an expected demographics shift as this same age group prepares for retirement.
