AMA Foundation offers grants to physicians affected by natural disasters

The AMA Foundation announced it will offer grants to help physicians rebuild their practices in the wakes of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. These grants will be awarded through the foundation's Health Care Recovery Fund, an ongoing fund that will also be available to physicians affected by future disasters.
The Health Care Recovery Fund was started with a $100,000 grant from the AMA.
