Starting July 15, the public will have more access to information about your hospital via the JCAHO's Web site at www.jcaho.org.

The public will be able to look at JCAHO-accredited organizations' new Quality Reports when they are posted to Quality Check on the Joint Commission's Internet site. The JCAHO is giving organizations a chance to preview the reports before they go public via its extranet Web site, "Jayco." To do that, go to www.jcaho.org and click on the "Jayco" link on the home page. You will need your organization's user name and password to access the information.

The JCAHO said the new reports feature a user-friendly format with checks, pluses, and minuses to help the public compare health care organization performance in a number of key areas.
