The American Academy of Family Physicians will develop new CME and performance improvement programs for cardiovascular care thanks to a $1 million grant from GlaxoSmithKline Center for Medical Education.
Medical staffs may want to encourage their practitioners to engage in this program because cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death in the United States and affects many patients. MSPs may be called on to verify this training after a practitioner completes the course work.
