Some organizations require documentation of immunizations prior to granting a physician privileges. The occupational health office typically is involved in assisting with this initiative, and occupational health staff members’ access to the database will depend on how involved they are in this process. If they are the ones administering the immunizations and tracking and documenting compliance with the requirements, then organizations typically grant them data entry access in the specific area of the database where this is tracked.
This week’s tip is from The Essential Guide to Medical Staff Reappointment, Second Edition by Anne Roberts, CPMSM, CPCS.
