Some state medical boards keep their practitioner investigations confidential, and the public only learns about them after an adverse outcome, if there is one. However, the Washington State Department of Health and the OB-GYN it’s investigating have publicly discussed the case, giving medical staffs and the general public unique insight on the process.
John C. Perry, MD is facing charges that he violated standards of care and had inappropriate relations with a patient, according to an article in The News Tribune. The Department of Health estimates that it will hear his case in March. Until then, he has a valid medical license.
