Dear readers,
The calendar hanging near my desk has a feature that lets me know how many days have passed since the beginning of the year and how many more until the year’s end. According to the calendar, last week marked the year’s mid-point: 183 days in and 182 to go. What a perfect opportunity to take stock and evaluate the progress you and your office have made on your plans for 2009.
There may have been road blocks along the way due to budget cuts, changes in staffing, and even a shift in your own professional motivation. Yet we all have a responsibility to fulfill our potential and do the best job we can.
Although conducting a credentialing audit and crunching numbers is a great way to evaluate the year’s progress, it’s not the only way. Try scheduling a meeting with your office mates, supervisor, or even the other MSPs in your community to talk about the work you did in the past six months. You may find that the experience not only helps you take a clearer look at your progress, but it may also help get you fired up for the work ahead.
Sincerely,
Emily Berry, associate editor
