The Medical Board of California revoked Roy Chi Wing Lung, MD’s medical license after he was allegedly found to have repeatedly stolen medical supplies from hospitals to sell on eBay, according to the Orange County Register.
In 2004, the physician allegedly stole two computers from Long Beach Memorial Medical Center by dressing in scrubs in an attempt to blend in.
In addition, he allegedly routinely snuck into hospitals where he was not on staff so that he could sleep, shower, eat, and steal medical supplies—including pockets full of sutures—to sell online. The article states that the physician told police that he stopped at one hospital on his way home about once a week for 10 years because he was tired.
