A federal regulation nicknamed the conscience rule is back in the news again in a March 23 article by the American Medical Association on the regulation’s pros and cons. The controversial regulation was first introduced in August 2008 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human services with the goal of protecting federally funded healthcare providers’ right of conscience.

Check out our blog to read more about the conscience rule and take part in our poll which asks: Have any of the practitioners at your facility raised moral or ethical objections to medical staff requirements?
