Last week’s blog poll question asked if certification is required for your practitioners. Almost 200 of you weighed in, and here’s what you had to say:
- 52% said professional certification is required for all practitioners (MDs, DOs, APPs, CAs)
- 21% said professional certification is required for all physicians, (MDs and DOs) but not advanced practice professionals (APPs) and clinical assistants (CAs)
- 16% said mandatory professional certification is not required for any group
- 4% said professional certification is required for APPs and CAs, but not MDs and DOs
- 7% said their requirements fall into another category
