Many MSPs describe their jobs as stressful and challenging, which further underscores the need for maintaining a sense of equilibrium on a daily basis. You’ll want to pay particular attention to your stress level at work and avoid letting it take over your personal time. Get into the habit of setting priorities at work, learning how to say no to additional responsibilities you don’t have time for, and making sure you take a vacation.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, don’t just gripe—take some time and evaluate where you’re spending your time. Sometimes just writing it down makes it easier to prioritize. Analyzing how you’re spending your time can also be a valuable asset when you ask for additional help. Healthcare is a business, and senior management responds to a clearly defined business need.
This week’s tip is from Ready, Set, Credential! Questions, Games, and Other Strategies to Train Your Staff, Second Edition, by Nancy C. Lian, CPMSM, CPCS.
