A North Carolina-based plastic surgeon who had his hospital privileges suspended two years ago continued to see his office-based patients until the state recently suspended his medical license, according to a March 11 article on MSNBC.com.
Despite having his privileges suspended at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, Paul Drago, MD continued to hold privileges at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, NC. Springs Memorial recently suspended his privileges due to the action by the licensure board and at least 10 complaints against him.
Drago also allegedly harmed some patients he saw in his office-based practice during that time, according to the article.
