It’s a new year, which means you have new medical staff leaders on your team. We can’t bring you the palm trees and warm breezes you experience attending an off-site seminar, but our virtual workshop can deliver the education your medical staff leaders need to navigate the road ahead.
HCPro has partnered with The Greeley Medical Staff Institute to host a series of three virtual seminars designed to provide medical staff leaders with the training and education they need to carry out their responsibilities. Join us on January 26 for the first one-hour virtual seminar, which will help your new medical staff leaders understand the roles and responsibilities of the medical staff, management, and governing board.
The subsequent two programs in February and March will cover medical staff leaders’ roles in credentialing and privileging and peer review. No air fare or packing required—although we do recommend you grab a warm drink and a sweater to stay toasty as arctic temperature sweep the nation.
In addition to the January 26 live presentation, you will receive a CD of the program and comprehensive training tools, including:
- Sample position descriptions for:
o President of medical staff
o Vice president of the medical staff
o Medical staff department chair
o Credentials committee chair
o Quality committee chair
o Vice president of medical affairs - Tips for running committees
- Medical staff member rights
- Survival tips for physician leaders
- Meeting planning guide
- Sample MEC meeting agenda
- Troubleshooting guide to meeting dynamics
- Criteria for evaluating physician leaders
- Medical staff bylaws primer
- FAQs: The personal side of medical staff leadership
- Medical staff leader training quiz
