The HIPDB is a data collection program for the reporting and disclosure of certain final adverse actions taken against healthcare practitioners, providers, and suppliers. The HIPDB collects information about:
- Licensure and certification actions
- Exclusions from participation in federal and state healthcare programs
- Healthcare-related criminal convictions and civil judgments taken by state and federal courts
- Injunctions
- Other adjudicated actions or decisions defined in HIPDB regulations
