The American Medical Association (AMA) joined an ongoing economic credentialing case that challenges the policies of Baptist Health, the largest hospital system in Arkansas, according to the March 14 issue of AMA's eVoice. Prior to becoming an additional plaintiff in the case, the AMA provided financial assistance to the plaintiffs.

Little Rock Cardiology Clinic v. Baptist Health addresses whether it is legal for Baptist Health to deny privileges to practitioners because those practitioners have an interest in a competing hospital.

More information about this economic credentialing case is available here.
