Pay-per-view Proceduralists ensure compliance with specialized surgeries
Healthcare Auditing Weekly, September 18, 2007

This process involves designating specific doctors and nurses, rather than a range of doctors and nurses with less experience, to perform certain medical tasks.
By repeatedly performing certain procedures (e.g., collection of spinal fluid), a proceduralist gains skill at the task. He or she performs the work faster and with better clinical outcomes, on average, than those medical professionals who only occasionally perform such duties.
