CMS clarifies when to issue an expedited review notice and an Advance Beneficiary Notice
On July 9, CMS posted an updated answer to a question posed in its Frequently Asked Questions section of its Web site. The Q&A explains when a provider would issue both a fee-for-service expedited review notice along with an Advance Beneficiary Notice.

CMS hospital open door forum scheduled for today
CMS' hospital open door forum will take place today at 2 p.m. EST. To access the call, dial 800/837-1935 and enter 2467196 as the conference ID.
CMS will also make the "encore" version of the open door forum accessible beginning two hours after the event has ended. The encore will end on Friday, July 20. To listen to the encore version of the forum, dial 800/642-1687 and enter 2467196 as the conference ID.
