Baby boomers headed your way

It's time to batten the hatches, as what some are referring to as the next "tidal wave" in healthcare is quickly approaching your doorstep: Baby boomers are entering retirement. For some industries, such as tourism and recreation, the change is a positive one. Baby Boomers are known for their high savings rate, and now that their golden years are approaching, it's time to dip into the cash pool. However, other industries-such as the financial sector-view the change with more anxiety. Some fear that if too many boomers pull money out of the stock market, it will cause an asset meltdown. Then there's healthcare, which has its feet planted on both sides of the tracks when it comes to the pros and cons of an aging boomer generation.
