CMS publishes final rule for long-term care hospitals, graduate medical education payments in the Federal Register
On May 11, CMS published the 2008 long-term care hospital final rule in the Federal Register. In addition to making changes relating to long-term care hospitals, the final rule makes various changes to CMS policy on graduate medical education payments to teaching hospitals.
Note: As previously reported in the Medicare Weekly Update, the "display copy" of this rule was published on CMS' Web site on May 1.
