States push new false claims legislation

The state of Texas revised its Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act last week, the Whistleblower Laywer Blog reports.

The changes were designed to allow Texas to receive a greater share of Medicaid fraud recoveries once it is approved by the OIG. Texas' initial version of the act did not earn the OIG's approval, which did not allow the state to earn additional Medicaid fraud recovery money.
