OIG: Hospital fails to accurately report vendor rebates

A Tennesse hospital did not report two rebates it received from vendors on its cost report as it should have done, an OIG audit concluded.

Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, TN, did not reduce costs reported on its fiscal year 2003 and 2004 cost reports by the $12,621 it received for two rebates, contrary to federal regulations and CMS guidance.
