When the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) became law in February 2006, your workload expanded to include a whole new set of tasks, such as creating new policies and procedures and trying to figure out how CMS was going to enforce the new legislation.
Although CMS' statements on the DRA haven't become much clearer, there is plenty that you, as a provider, can do to make sure that you are in compliance with the DRA.
Deciphering the DRA
Section 6032 of the DRA-"Employee Education about False Claims Recovery"-is the one to pay attention to, if you haven't already.
