UnitedHealthcare supports program to reduce racial disparities

Insurer UnitedHealthcare is supporting a government program aimed at reducing racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare by educating doctors on how to provide better care for ethnic minorities, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal reports.

The company is is partnering with the Office of Minority Health to provide cultural competency education for healthcare professionals through an online site.

The site features self-directed education on topics such as culturally competent care, language services and organizational support.
