Misys CEO bows out
Healthcare Auditing Weekly, January 23, 2007
Misys Healthcare Systems Chief Executive Officer Tom Skelton stepped down from his post last week.
Around the same time, Misys' British parent company, Misys Plc, reported a 22% drop in operating income at the healthcare division for the six-month period that ended November 30, the News & Observer reports.
From corporate headquarters in London, Misys boss Mike Lawrie called the results of North Carolina-based Misys Healthcare "unacceptable."
Paul Lewis, who joined Misys Healthcare this week as senior vice president of sales and services, was named interim general manager of Misys Healthcare.
Skelton also gave up his seat on the parent company's board, among several management changes announced from London.
